BMW and Audi interested in buying McLaren Automotive – Automobilwoche – Reuters

BERLIN, Nov 14 (Reuters) – Volkswagens (VOWG_p. DE) Audi and BMW (BMWG.DE) have an interest in buying British luxury sportscar maker McLaren Automotive, German vehicles publication Automobilwoche reported on Sunday, without defining its sources.
The first talks in between BMW and Bahrain sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat, which owns 42% of McLaren, are to occur at the beginning of December, the report stated.
Audi is likewise thinking about the Formula 1 division of the business, it stated.
BMW and Audi were not right away available for comment.
